1)
Write the post and include pictures in almost every
single post – it is rare but occasionally I write a post and don’t include
pictures. Personally I post daily –
every single day. Originally my goal was
one post a day but now it is rare to not have at least three posts a day.
2)
Schedule the post – this is important because some
posts I want to be first on my email feeds; some I want to be top post
throughout the day etc…
3)
Share on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and if a book
review – Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Goodreads and/or other.
4)
Share personal “stuff” – I love my kid-isms.
5)
Participate in groups and/or parties – interact, say
hi.
6)
Comment on sites of other bloggers – we all work hard
and love what we do. We are our best
support.
7)
Give Klout and Alexa support – hopefully gain some in
return.
8)
Spread some Facebook and Twitter love by sharing and
retweeting.
9)
Participate in and host, co-host giveaways.
10)
Most of all – I do whatever allows me to be me and
helps you to be you!

ReplyDeleteI dont understand #2???? some good ideas but I am not sure about all of them. I am not that versed in what I can actually do. Anyway, good ideas and I am following

Thanks for this post it really helped me focus on some important things to get my blog on track.
ReplyDelete#2 Is important based on my preferences but also based on my ability to attract certain business and authors. Some have a great deal to offer as far as visibility but require top post of the day; or for the post to go "live" specifically at midnight. Basically #2 is - make sure you pay attention to all fine print for scheduling purposes.
ReplyDeleteSOme great tips! Thanks for sharing!!
ReplyDeleteGreat list! I try to do all of them. My biggest issue right now is I need to GET AHEAD in posting! I used to have several days of posts scheduled in advance, and then came the holidays, and I'm way behind. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI also try to get ahead - especially from April through October where I am always on the road. But that becomes less and less possible. When I don't have a post for a certain day I just pick up the morning paper and grab a topic. Then figure out what I am going to write about that topic. I prefer to be more organized than that but have resorted to the random method a time or two - especially when I am too sick to do much else.
ReplyDeleteInteresting list! I'm trying to get better organized this year. I also want to host more giveaways, it seems to be something that my readers love.
ReplyDeleteThat's pretty much what my list looks like. I have a really hard time keeping up with all of it though. I definitely need to get more organized.
ReplyDeleteI struggle sometimes too - especially when I have to work late or the kids have some activity that throws my schedule off. But this is what I try to do daily.
ReplyDeletethose are great tips. Every day is like a learning experience for us bloggers. I've been blogging for more than 7 years now but i still don't know a lot of things
